Factured Mind

A call from the past,
dampens the day.
You think
how that voice made you,
yet
it broke you.
To unforgiving
mind manipulating
gestures you hid
in the darkest
recesses
of your mind.
A voice
that shakes your soul
creating doubts
you felt were
conquered.
Spiraling
into indecisive
regret,
when something
held you there,
forgiveness
shook you loose.
A call from the past,
a voice
you forgave,
a life
you live each day,
Awakened
from a deep sleep,
contemplations of a
fractured mind.

Do Not

Do not believe,
in a world where blindness
is only the darkness we feel,
where pain stands
before you.
Bound with emotion,
we who see the dance
on the eve of the rising storm,
knowing
love is but the feeling felt,
after a heart is broken.
We tell
the tales of yesterday as fresh
as the freshest flowers blooming
today.
In a time when pain stands
before you,
hiding behind a mask of smiles.
You feel pain alone, giving comfort
in songs of laughter, a silent
soul, a hand to touch.
A moment shared, where mortality
is bound by emotions held in
darkness.
Do not believe,
in a world where blindness,
is only the darkness we feel.
